Each year, the Bridge the Gap walk brings together some of the best of Cambridge for the whole community to enjoy.
Once again, this well-loved walk was a real success with over 2,000 people stepping out to support the Arthur Rank Hospice and Press Relief.
This year Emmanuel, Christ’s, Jesus, St. John’s, King’s, Pembroke and Downing Colleges featured on the route and participants were invivted to explore some of their most picturesque and intriguing places. Highlights included Emmanuel’s world-famous Oriental Plane tree (to which a whole book is dedicated), the Darwin gardens at Christ’s, the Orchards at Jesus College, views of the Bridge of Sighs at St John's, the walk along the River Cam at King's College, the intertwining gardens at Pembroke and the expansive grounds of Downing to name but a few! The route will be packed with plenty to see and take in.
Whilst the final total is still to be announced, we have passed the £30,000 mark and are thrilled that both Press Relief and Arthur Rank can benefit from this worthwhile event.
