Open Cambridge 2014

Open Cambridge 2014 was a three-day celebration of the rich heritage of our vibrant city and the diverse communities that have brought it worldwide fame.

With tours of iconic buildings, talks on Cambridge’s unique history and open libraries and gardens galore, thousands of people unearthed some of the hidden secrets on their doorstep.

A notable highlight from our feedback was the new range of ‘Top Walks’. Our sincere thanks go to the Society of Cambridge Tourist Guides for delivering a total of thirty different walking tours to so many grateful members of the public. We could not have anticipated their popularity and hope that this is something that we can include and build upon in future years to come.

We would like to extend a massive thank you to all of our coordinators who have been so generous with their time and enthusiasm across the weekend. Many of our events were extremely popular and we are delighted that their hard work was met with such positive attendance from the public.

We would love to hear about your Open Cambridge highlights so please tweet us @OpenCambridgeUK and #OC2014.

Thank you to everyone involved, and we will see you next year!
