Bridge the Gap launched

Bridge the Gap 2015 is officially launched and open for registration.

This well-loved walk around the Cambridge colleges is back on Sunday 13 September, beginning from 9.30am at Parker’s Piece.

This year’s route will lead you around Emmanuel, Christ’s, Jesus, St. John’s, King’s, Pembroke and Downing Colleges, exploring some of their most picturesque and intriguing places.

Due to the Centenary of the start of World War I, last year’s route paid special attention to College Chapels and war memorials. This year, whilst some of the memorials will still be visible, the route focuses on the beautiful College gardens and grounds. Highlights will include Emmanuel’s world-famous Oriental Plane tree (to which a whole book is dedicated), the Darwin gardens at Christ’s and the Orchards at Jesus College to name but a few; the route will be packed with plenty to see and take in.

Last year we raised £40,000 for Press Relief and Arthur Rank and we are hoping to raise even more this year.

Registration is £15 for adults before 10 July, and £18 thereafter - and every penny of your registration fee goes directly to the two benefiting charities. Under 18’s go free with a paying adult.

If you would like to join us on Sunday 13 September please visit bridgethegapwalk.org for more information or call 01223 723115.
