Open Cambridge hits New Wave for 2022

New Wave 2022

New Wave is a training and development programme focused around working with young adults to develop new, innovative events.

What is happening this year?

We are thrilled to be a part of this programme working alongside organisers from all over England. As part of New Wave in 2022, there will be events from Berwick Archives, Crook Hall and Gardens, Dunham Massey, Evesham Abbey Trust, Exeter and Devon Medical Trust, Hillingdon Council, The Landmark Trust, The Thames Discovery Programme (Museum of London Archaeology), Paington Picture House, Sowerby Bridge High Street Heritage Action Zone, St Albans Cathedral and the University of Cambridge.

Keep an eye on our social feeds and events newsletter for the latest updates.

Why are we doing this?

Over the years Open Cambridge has evolved from just opening doors to encompassing a wide range of innovative and dynamic community focused events. However, too often we’re still perceived as only being for traditional heritage audiences. New Wave seeks to change that. It aims to enable the delivery of high quality events that push the boundaries of what people expect, widening our appeal to audience groups that we have previously struggled to reach.
