Exhibition Symposium: Revealing (In)visible Times

2:00pm-6:00pm on Monday 13 October

Downing College, Regent Street, CB2 1DQ

‘Revealing (In)visible Times’ at The Heong Gallery is a shared inquiry into how time materialises – how it can linger in the fibers of everyday objects and places, from hospital waiting rooms to cleaning equipment. The physical hosts of ‘lost’ passages of time are transformed into artworks that foreground hidden narratives of care, displacement, and labour.

The exhibition forms part of the 'Visual Enquiries' exhibitions programme at The Heong Gallery, which aims to foster dialogue between academic research and the visual arts. This public symposium accompanies the exhibition, featuring contributions from scholars at the University of Cambridge. The symposium will explore contemporary experiences of waiting, inertia, and the limbo of invisible routines through cultural and artistic responses.
