7:00pm-8:30pm on Monday 9 September
Quaker Meeting House , 12 Jesus Lane , CB5 8BA
Quakers have been at the forefront of social protests throughout their history, often using disruptive and vilified methods to make change, but why does this small faith group pack such a powerful punch when it comes to peaceful protest?
This talk will answer this question through personal stories from local Quaker activists and activists who found strength in a Quaker meeting, illustrated with examples of Quaker activism from history to the present day and followed by time for questions and discussion.
This event is hosted by Cambridge Quakers. To find out more about Quakers visit: quaker.org.uk/about-quakers
