11:30am-1:00pm on Sunday 21 September
St Augustine's Church and Community Centre , 101 Richmond Rd, , CB4 3PS
Local historian Michelle Bullivant will be leading a guided walk, exploring some of the historical tales, local history, and highlighting the architectural details of this late Victorian estate. The walk will focus on aspects of Richmond Road, Oxford Road and Histon Road Recreation Ground, providing an opportunity to engage with the fascinating research gathered by Michelle about this unique area of Cambridge.
The guided walk forms part of the creative engagement programme for the new homes being built on the former Murketts/Histon Road site. We warmly encourage participants to bring along personal photos and share cherished memories, or come to learn more about the area and the proposed creative project being developed by artist Jacky Oliver.
The walk will be on flat ground and paved surfaces. Refreshments will be available on return.
The event is free, however booking is essential as spaces are limited. We encourage you to reserve early to avoid disappointment.
