About

Cambridge opens its doors for a special weekend in September

Open Cambridge is part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme. Designed to offer special access to places that are normally closed to the public or charge admission. The initiative provides an annual opportunity for people to discover the local history and heritage of their community. This year's programme features a wonderful mixture of events, ranging from Tall Tales: secrets of the tower, themed walking tours led by members of the Society of Cambridge Tour Guides and an afternoon hosted by the Mill Road History Society.

There are lots of events at Eddington on Saturday 15 September as part of Open Cambridge.

Many of the Colleges and museums that feature in the programme allow public access throughout the year with a variety of opening hours and charges. We have produced a guide for your information:www.cam.ac.uk/visitors

If you would like to be added to our mailing list to receive updates and information about the festivals please email opencambridge@admin.cam.ac.uk. And follow us on twitter @OpenCambridgeUK.
