Pembroke Open Doors Festival - Tender Stones (Dance Performance)

3:00pm-3:50pm on Saturday 16 September
6:30pm-7:20pm on Saturday 16 September

Pembroke Auditorium (Mill Lane site - former Emmanuel United Reformed Church), Formerly the United Reformed Church, 71-72 Trumpington Street, CB2 1RJ

This new dance work is called Tender Stones and is an artistic and poetic exercise in making stone, informed by Pembroke College’s original site, the work wants us to consider ways we connect the past to a present and how we pay attention to time and space. Lucy has used an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with Charlie ford an artist and designer using drawing, paper, sculpture, and dance to explore the illusory possibilities of humble materials. During the performance a team of four performers construct paper stones with uncanny effects on time, weight, and tenderness.
